A single cask Tamdhu from Speyside, distilled in 2014 and bottled in late 2022 at 8 years old by Douglas Laing for their Provenance range. It was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky came from a single sherry hogshead that yielded 355 bottles.
The nose has dark sugary sweetness with a hint of tobacco. The palate is sweet, with vanilla, juicy barley and cedar wood, and the finish brings tobacco back alongside liquorice and malt.
