This is a 21 year old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu Distillery, near Knockando, in a 70cl bottle at 47.5% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour.
It was matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks from Jerez, Spain.
The nose is sherried oak, dark chocolate and sultanas, with orange oil, toasted almonds and soft leather. The palate offers plump raisins, candied orange and stewed figs, balanced by honeyed malt, nutmeg and cocoa. The finish is long and warming, with oak spice, sherry-soaked fruit and a gentle chocolate bitterness.
