Teeling Single Malt Tequila Cask is an Irish single malt from Dublin's Teeling Whiskey, made for the California market. It is distilled from 100% malted barley, bottled at 50% ABV in a 750ml bottle and non-chill-filtered.
The whiskey was matured in oak and then finished in ex-tequila casks, which add herbal, citrusy and earthy notes to Teeling's fruit-forward style.
The nose is lime zest, green agave and white pepper over orchard fruits and a little vanilla. The palate is creamy and zesty, with honey, tropical fruit, roasted pineapple and a hint of vegetal spice from the tequila cask. The finish is crisp and dry, with lingering citrus and soft oak.
