Tenjaku is a pure malt Japanese whisky, pale gold in colour, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is delicate and charming, with fresh grain, banana bread with raisins, toasted walnuts and honey-drizzled pears. The palate is dryish and smooth, light to medium in body, with a swift, assertive rush of piquant flavour.
The medium-long finish brings melon, smoked peppercorns, pimiento, marinated mushrooms and banana nougat.
