Tenjaku Whisky

Tenjaku is a Japanese whisky made in the city of Fuefuki, in the eastern Kofu Basin of Yamanashi, in the land surrounding Mount Fuji. It is made with natural spring water from the Misaka mountains, drawn from 250 metres below the surface and filtered through porous volcanic rock. The water is credited with giving the whisky its minerality, and the whisky is described as well balanced. The name Tenjaku is written with the Japanese characters for the skylark, known as hibari.
