Tenuta Fernanda Cappello Merlot DOC Friuli Grave

A Merlot from Tenuta Fernanda Cappello, reflecting the unique territory of the Grave del Friuli. It is made from carefully selected Merlot grapes grown on alluvial sandy and gravelly soils typical of this area. Ageing in wooden casks enhances structure and softness, giving a harmonious balance between freshness and green notes of aromatic herbs. In the glass it is intense ruby red; the nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, delicate spicy tones and a light balsamic undertone. The palate has soft, enveloping tannins and a persistent finish. It pairs well with grilled red meats, aged cheeses and traditional Friulian dishes.
