A Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Tenuta Ulisse. It has an intense ruby colour with violet reflections, with aromas of ripe red fruits, violet, earthy notes, spice and a hint of liquorice. On the palate it is medium-bodied, with present but balanced tannins and lively acidity, keeping red fruit at the centre alongside a savoury sensation. It pairs naturally with pasta with meat ragù, roasts, grilled meats and medium-aged cheeses. Serve slightly cool, around 16-18 °C, and decant briefly to help the aromas open.
