A 12 year old Speyside single malt from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, bottled at 45.8% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the independent bottler's new core range, which sits alongside its single cask and small batch releases.
The whisky spent all twelve years maturing in oloroso sherry casks, which give it a rich, dark colour.
The nose combines chocolatey malt, caramelised nuts, cinnamon and woody spice, leading to thick cut marmalade and earthy oak char. On the palate come dried berries, stewed fruit and oily malt, and the finish is nutty malt, candied fruit and sherried oak.
