The Balvenie 12 Year Old DoubleWood is a malt whisky from the Balvenie distillery, in a 70cl bottle.
Balvenie grows and sows its own barley for malting, which the distillery describes as unique among Scottish Highlands distilleries, and it runs one of the few working floor maltings left in Scotland.
The whisky is smooth and mellow, with nutty sweetness and cinnamon spice, and a delicately proportioned layer of sherry.
