The Balvenie – 12 Year Old Home Malted

The Balvenie 12 Year Old Home Malted is a Speyside single malt made entirely from barley malted on the distillery's own malting floor. The barley comes from its own Mains of Balvenie farm and from regular partner farms. It belongs to The 1931 Collection, named after the year a new malting floor came into use at the distillery. The whisky matures in American oak and is finished in European oak sherry casks from Jerez. The nose offers warm biscuit, green malt and orange peel. On the palate come honey, toffee and barley sugar, with candied ginger, raisin and oak. The finish is rich and soft, with mild spice.
