The Balvenie – 12 Years Montilla Cask

The Balvenie 12 Year Old Montilla Cask is a limited edition Speyside single malt from the only Scottish distillery that still uses its own floor maltings. It was matured for twelve years in casks that previously held Montilla, a fortified wine from southern Spain. The nose brings honey, dried fruit, almond and light spice. The palate has vanilla, caramel, dried figs and nutty notes. The finish is soft, of medium length and lightly spiced, with oak.
