The Balvenie 15 Year Old Madeira Cask is a Speyside single malt, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in casks that previously held Madeira wine.
Malt Master David C. Stewart took inspiration from time spent in the Madeira region and its wines. Madeira once travelled by ship around the New World, and the heat of the sun on the casks naturally sweetened the wine inside.
The whisky has a lively, summery character.
