A 16 year old Balvenie from the Triple Cask range, which was first launched for travel retail. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is matured in three kinds of cask: first-fill American oak barrels, traditional refill casks and first-fill Oloroso sherry butts. The extra years bring fragrant oak spice alongside vanilla and fruit.
Tasting notes describe honey, vanilla and toffee on the nose, soft vanilla sweetness with peaches and plums on the palate, and a long, warm, spicy finish.

Honey, vanilla and toffee, with dark fruit (raspberry in particular), gentle citrus, a whiff of pepper and lingering oak
Soft and smooth with rich vanilla sweetness, light sherry, peaches and plums, toffee, white pepper, caramelised ginger, nutmeg, oak and cinnamon
Long, warm and spicy, with red berries, honey, toffee and a whiff of smoke
