The Balvenie – 18 Year Old French Pineau Cask (A Collection of Curious Casks) (70cl, 47.9%)

The Balvenie 18 Year Old French Pineau Cask is a single malt from the Stories range, released as part of A Collection of Curious Casks, a series of single cask bottlings. It is bottled at 47.9% in a 70cl bottle. The casks began as part of David C. Stewart's experiment with French Pineau casks, but at first they did not meet his exacting standards. They were left to mature for a further eight years under Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie, and the whisky shows what that extra time did. Kelsey McKechnie and Warehouse Co-Ordinator George Paterson selected the casks for the collection together.
