A 21 year old single malt from The Balvenie, moved into port casks, or pipes, that have held fine port wines. The Balvenie Malt Master samples it regularly to judge how much character the port casks add, while the original character of the malt is preserved. It is bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has fruity, ripe raisin notes with a nutty dryness. The palate is creamy and silky, with fruit, honey and spice, and the finish is long, gentle and nutty.
