A 25-year-old Speyside single malt from The Balvenie, part of the Rare Marriages range. It is made up of whiskies drawn from a selection of individual European and American oak casks.
The nose brings soft autumn fruits, runny honey, crystallised ginger and raw cane sugar, with a rich oakiness underneath.
On the palate, bold vanilla oak gives way gradually to toasted marshmallows, fresh fruit terrine and cinnamon-infused apple tart. The finish is notably long and sweet.
