This is a 27 year old single malt from The Balvenie in Speyside, bottled at 48% ABV and sold in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is rich, with Muscovado sugar and Manuka honey, lighter fruit and occasional hints of green banana and light spice. On the palate it is smooth, with a vanilla richness. An early burst of sweetness moves on to treacle toffee, aged leather and deep oak tannin.
The finish is sweet and lingering, with an oily, mouth-coating texture.
