A 30-year-old Speyside single malt from The Balvenie, bottled at 44.2% in a 700ml bottle.
Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE created it from casks aged for no fewer than thirty years, including American oak barrels and European oak sherry casks. The components were married in a traditional tun before bottling. The whisky has a deep amber colour.
The nose is rich with heather honey, dried apricot and fig, polished oak, orange peel and nutmeg. On the palate come dark chocolate, black cherry, spiced plum, marzipan and toasted almond with a silky texture. The finish is long, with oak, soft cocoa bitterness and lingering sweet spice.
