A 21 year old single malt from the Speyside distillery Balvenie, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in Madeira casks and was originally released for the Travel Retail market.
The nose opens with apple, kiwi and orange, joined by creamy vanilla, rounded wood spices and a touch of pepper. On the palate, fruit, oak and barley sit in balance, with fruit salad, frangipane, hints of cape gooseberry and soft caramel. The finish brings grapefruit and caramel tart, turning nuttier with a wisp of smoke while keeping a touch of juicy fruit.
