The Balvenie PortWood 21 Year Old is a single malt bottled by the distillery in 2009 at 47.6% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited, non-chill-filtered release, and the whisky is a deep copper colour.
Malt Master David Stewart used 21 year old American oak bourbon casks, which were then finished in port casks 30 to 40 years old. The whisky was distilled at the end of the 1980s.
It is described as rich and complex, with a spicy finish.
