The Balvenie PortWood 21 Year Old is a single malt made by moving a marriage of rare Balvenie whiskies into port pipes that have held fine port wines.
Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE samples it regularly, so that the port casks add the right amount of character while the original characteristics of the malt are kept. It has been made since 1996 and is considered by many to be among his finest creations.
It is non chill-filtered and bottled at 47.6% ABV.
