The Balvenie – Stories American Oak 12 Year Old (70cl)

The Balvenie Stories American Oak 12 Year Old, also named The Sweet Toast of American Oak, is a creamy, sweet single malt in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Balvenie Stories collection, which tells of the character, endeavour and craft of the people at Balvenie through the generations. The whisky is finished in heavily toasted virgin American oak casks from Kentucky, which makes it even fruitier than usual. The nose is malty, with fudge, citrus and oaky vanilla alongside ginger and cinnamon. On the palate come candied orange and lemon peel, vanilla toffee, butterscotch, blossom honey and melted brown sugar. The finish is rich and malty, with oak vanilla and subtle spice.
