The Balvenie The Creation Of A Classic is a Speyside single malt bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It draws on early wood-finishing experiments by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE.
The whisky is matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is warm and gently spiced, with vanilla, caramel, honeyed malt, dried fruit and clove. Toffee, golden syrup and baked orchard fruits show on the palate with cinnamon and a medium body. The finish is soft, with oak spice, dried fruit and a returning note of honey.
