The Bard Distillery Cinder & Smoke is a 13 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, made in Graham, Muhlenberg County and bottled at cask strength, 49.7%. It is a limited edition, hand-blended in very small batches from well-seasoned mature barrels.
Barrels were chosen for a natural interplay between sweet char and deep oak. The distillery was founded in 2019 by Thomas and Kim Bard.
The nose has vanilla, butterscotch, wet oak, leather and holiday spices. The palate is creamy, with mild cinder and smoke, treacle, dark fruit and a floral, perfumed note. The finish is long, ending in salted caramel.
