The Bard Distillery – Muhlenberg John Prine 2025 Edition Bourbon (70cl, 50.5%)

The Bard Distillery John Prine 2025 Edition is a five-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Graham, Kentucky, released in October 2025. It is a collaboration between The Bard Distillery, Oh Boy Records and The Hello In There Foundation, made to mark the final year of "You Got Gold", a week-long celebration of John Prine. The mash bill is rye-forward, using corn, rye and malted barley, and the bourbon matured in the distillery's 1920s schoolhouse-turned-rickhouse. It is bottled at 101 proof (50.5%) for Prine's birthday on 10 October, in an edition of 7,000 bottles. The nose offers black tea, toffee and brown sugar. The palate is layered, with black tea, creme brulee, almond and pecan, and a spicy rye kick of cinnamon and pepper.
