This is a single malt from The Belgian Owl, matured for 44 months in a first-fill bourbon cask and bottled at 74.2% ABV. It was the distillery's first release. The spirit takes its character from the fresh oak of the first-fill bourbon cask. Despite the high strength, it is described as full, fruity and notably smooth. This bottling was voted Best Whisky of the World at Taormina in Italy in 2009.
