This is a 12 year old single cask Speyside malt from BenRiach, filled into an oloroso sherry butt in 2005. It comes from the distillery's 15th batch of single cask releases and is bottled at a natural strength of 58.1%.
The nose is fruity and rich, with golden syrup, apple, apricot and yellow plum, moving to fresh brioche with raisins. On the palate the sherry cask shows its influence, with raisin, sultana and treacle, caramelised orange and a tangy red apple note.
