This is a 13 year old single malt from The BenRiach in Speyside, from a 2005 Pedro Ximénez butt (cask 6924) and released as Batch 16. It is bottled at 56.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle, and has a dark honey colour with russet highlights.
Butterscotch and crème caramel lead the nose, with maple syrup, pecan, cream sherry and caramel fudge cake. The palate offers dark manuka honey and cream sherry on buttered pancakes, then gingerbread and treacle. Caramelised ginger and pecan toffee stay through a long finish.
