This is a 13-year-old single malt from The BenRiach, matured in a Pedro Ximenez butt (cask 6924) and released as Batch 16 from the 2005 vintage. It is bottled at 56.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is dark honey with russet highlights. Butterscotch and crème caramel lead on the nose, followed by maple syrup, pecan, cream sherry and caramel fudge cake.
On the palate, dark manuka honey and cream sherry sit over buttered pancakes, moving to gingerbread and treacle. The long finish holds caramelised ginger and pecan toffee.
