The Beverly High Rye is an American whiskey bottled at 48% ABV. It blends 50% straight rye whiskey with 50% straight bourbon, giving a majority-rye mash bill that sets the spice of rye against the richness of bourbon.
Each small batch is produced at Cedar Ridge Distillery in Swisher, Iowa, from hand-selected straight rye and straight bourbon from Iowa and Indiana. The brand was founded by Andrew Borenzweig and is blended by Master Blender Murphy Quint.
The nose brings toasted oak, rye bread, coffee cake and lemon peel. The palate has cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar with a rich, viscous mouthfeel. The finish is smooth, with candied pecans, caramel and toffee.
