The Borders 2018 8 Year Old Single Malt First Release is the inaugural single malt from The Borders Distillery in Hawick, and the first whisky distilled in the Scottish Borders since 1837. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in first-fill bourbon casks and finished in a Malmsey Madeira cask.
Honey, vanilla and citrus come with sultanas, ripe berries, caramel and brown sugar, followed by stem ginger, hazelnut and buttery macadamia.
