The Cabrach Feering Early Harvest (70cl, 46%)

A blended malt from The Cabrach, made from single casks of four distilleries surrounding The Cabrach distillery and bottled on 4 February 2024 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. An outturn of 6000 bottles was released. In the North East a feering is the first furrow ploughed, which guides all the rest. This is the first of a series of three limited edition blended malts, with the casks selected by Alan Winchester. The nose is gently floral and heathery, with honey and a distant hint of embers on a bothy hearth. Butterscotch, sweet vanilla and heather follow on the palate, with a little sweet smoke behind. The finish is clean and fresh.
