This Highland Park single malt comes from Orkney and forms part of The Cooper's Choice Golden Cut Collection. It is bottled at 50% ABV, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, and is limited to 342 bottles. The spirit was distilled in 2015, aged in an American oak barrel and then finished in an ex-Malaga wine cask from Spain.
The Malaga cask adds a sweet floral quality, honey and dried fruit alongside sea spray and peat. The finish is smooth, leaving fruit danish and wisps of smoke.
