The Dalmore 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It spends its first nine years in ex-bourbon barrels. Half is then moved to Matusalem butts, while the rest continues in former bourbon casks. The result is a thick, rich whisky with sweetness and sherried depth.
The nose carries orange, dark plums, chocolate and marzipan. The palate brings citrus, Christmas cake, coffee and cinnamon, and the finish returns to orange, vanilla, plums and cinnamon.
