The Dalmore – King Alexander III (75cl)

The Dalmore King Alexander III is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky from Alness, bottled in 750ml. It is matured in six cask types at the same time: American white oak ex-bourbon, South African Cabernet Sauvignon barriques, Madeira barriques, Marsala barrels, Tawny Port pipes and sherry butts. The name honours the 13th-century Scottish king who granted the Mackenzie clan, historical custodians of The Dalmore, the right to use the stag crest that became the distillery's emblem. The nose is red berry fruits, fresh flowers, passion fruit and vanilla. The palate brings citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel and spiced orange, and the finish is long and rich, with tropical fruit and sweet oak.
