The Deacon Blended Scotch Whisky

The Deacon is a blended Scotch whisky made from Highland and Islay components. It aims for a contemporary kind of smoke, closer to sweet campfire than peat bog, with sweetness and spice alongside. The nose brings campfire smoke, toffee, vanilla, charred oak shavings and a little orange peel. On the palate the smoke stays light, with toffee fudge, burnt sugar, vanilla cream, grilled citrus and oak spice. The finish is medium in length, with sweet smoke, dry oak and a faint cocoa note.
