The English 1st Fill Bourbon Cask Matured (Small Batch Release)

This is a small batch release from The English Whisky Co., matured in first-fill bourbon casks. Only four casks were used, producing 2,500 bottles. It is described as having vanilla, milk chocolate and green fruit, particularly apple, with an oily texture and a long finish. On the nose there is buttery vanilla, pear, banana and delicate green notes. The palate brings buttery sweet corn, candied orange peel, vanilla custard, crisp green apple, traces of wood spice and milk chocolate. The finish moves from wood spice to lemon peel, hot buttered toast with apricot jam, and vanilla.
