The English Small Batch Heavily Smoked (2024 Release) (70cl, 46%)

This is the 2024 release of Heavily Smoked, a peated single malt from The English Distillery in Norfolk, England. It was made in a run of 1,002 bottles and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured. It is a small batch blend of whisky from four undisclosed cask types, matured and married on site. The nose has black cherry and vanilla custard. The palate brings molasses, gingerbread and wood smoke, and the finish is long and warming, with lingering oak.
