The Famous Grouse is a blended Scotch whisky at 40% ABV, in a one litre bottle. The blend is built on malts that include Glenrothes, Highland Park and The Macallan, with light-bodied grain whisky to soften and balance them.
The nose is light and crisp, with fresh-cut flowers, barley, toffee, green apple, pear and a faint citrus lift. The palate is balanced and smooth, with soft spice, malt, caramel and a very light touch of peat smoke. The finish is clean and slightly sweet, of medium length, with caramel and a faint herbal edge.
