The Famous Grouse Blended Whisky (40%)

The Famous Grouse is a golden-brown blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40%. It is made from 18 different whiskies, among them Highland Park and The Macallan, and matured in oak casks. It is described as soft and round, with body from malt, fresh herbs and spice, and flavours of spice and fruit alongside citrus, sea salt, vanilla and a touch of smoke. Matthew Gloag named it after the grouse, the Scottish game bird. The nose is balanced oak and sherry with a hint of citrus. The palate is medium-full and ripe, with Speyside fruit. The finish is of good length, clean and medium dry.
