The Famous Grouse Glenturret 1986/2014 Commonwealth Games 2014 (70cl, 46.4%)

This is a Glenturret single malt Scotch whisky, released by The Famous Grouse in 2014 to mark Scotland hosting the Commonwealth Games. It is a limited edition of 1,800 bottles at 46.4% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The casks were filled in 1986, the last time Scotland hosted the Games. Master Blender Gordon Motion selected the Glenturret, a key part of the Famous Grouse blend, and it was bottled at cask strength in 2014. The nose is rich and full of tropical fruit, leading to a honeyed palate with hints of melon.
