The Famous Grouse Ruby Cask is a blended Scotch whisky from the brand's Cask Series, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. After maturing in oak, the blend is finished in casks that previously held Ruby Port, which deepens the colour and gives a richer, fruitier profile.
The nose has red berries and plums, with vanilla and a warm, baking-like spice. On the palate there are dried fruits, ripe cherry and a touch of dark chocolate, with a winey fullness from the port casks. The finish is medium and soft, with lasting fruity sweetness and light oak and spice.
