The Famous Grouse Smoky Black (70cl, 40%)

This is a smoky blended Scotch from The Famous Grouse, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was formerly known as The Black Grouse. A good share of peated malts, including a rare peated Glenturret, is blended with grain whiskies and rich Speyside malts. The whisky is matured in selected oak casks, among them ex-sherry. The nose combines peat smoke with caramel and dried fruit, and a background of light citrus and spice. The palate is smooth and full, with smoke, spice, dried fruit and creamy toffee. The finish is long and warming, with lingering smoke, dark chocolate and mild oak spice.
