A 12 year old single malt from The Glenlivet, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is the distillery's signature style, matured for a minimum of 12 years, first in traditional European oak and then in American oak casks.
The Glenlivet's founder, George Smith, did not follow the lead of the illegal still owners. In 1824 he obtained a distiller's licence and became the first legal distiller in Glenlivet. In years gone by, 28 distilleries carried the suffix 'The Glenlivet'.
