The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle, at 40% ABV. It is the distillery's signature style, matured mainly in ex-American oak casks, which bring notes of vanilla and a smooth texture.
Water from Josie's Well is used for mashing and fermentation, and the height and width of the copper stills add a delicate but complex character.
The nose is fruity and summery. The palate is well balanced and fruity, with strong pineapple notes, and the finish is creamy and smooth with marzipan and fresh hazelnuts.
