The Glenlivet 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from the oldest legal distillery in the region, where the stills are lantern shaped with long, narrow necks. It is known as the single malt that started it all.
The whisky matures in both American and European casks, which add a hint of oak.
Baked pastries, orchard fruit and toffee on the nose carry on to a full, warming palate. The finish is layered, with dark licorice and dried citrus peel.
