This is a 15 year old single malt from The Glenlivet in Speyside, Scotland, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle.
It is finished in French Limousin oak, the type of wood also used for Cognac. The distillery was founded in 1824.
On the nose there are spiced apple, nutmeg and warm pastry. The palate brings dried fruit, creamy toffee, cinnamon and roasted nuts, and the finish is lingering and dry, with a touch of bittersweet cocoa.
