The Glenlivet – 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 40%)

This is an 18 year old Glenlivet single malt from Speyside, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a combination of first-fill and second-fill American oak, which brings tropical fruitiness, and ex-sherry oak, which adds spicy complexity. The result is described as complex yet elegant and balanced, with a colour of old gold and apricot. The nose offers rich fruit and toffee. On the palate it is balanced, with bursts of sweet orange, and the finish is long, with raisins and spice.
