The Glenlivet 21 Year Old is a Speyside single malt from The Sample Room Collection, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is matured in a blend of first fill sherry casks, troncais oak Cognac casks and vintage wine casks.
The nose is layered, with ripe pears, buttery pastries and a little toasted spice. The palate is silky yet robust, with dried fruit, hazelnut praline, orange marmalade and a hint of nutmeg. The finish tapers off with dark chocolate, spice and a subtle sherry warmth.
