The Glenlivet – 21 Years Old (70cl, 43%)

The Glenlivet 21 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, matured for 21 years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in a combination of hand-selected American oak casks and former sherry casks, which give it a dried-fruit character with plenty of layers. The nose offers caramelised pear and juicy peach with cinnamon and nutmeg. The palate is complex and fruity, with dried apricot, juicy raisin and ginger chocolate, sweetened by honey and ripe fig, with a subtle oak influence. The finish is long and rich, with warm spice and lasting sweetness.
